People say that our food is delicious and come back for more! You will be spoilt for choice as our talented Head Chef changes the menu regularly to reflect the very best locally sourced and seasonally available produce. There is also a daily ‘Specials’ board which includes at least one fish dish.

We are open daily for bar snacks, light lunches and a la carte dining. Our latest menus are waiting for you to come and sample and enjoy…

Good food deserves good wine and our extensive wine list features wines from around the world to suit all tastes and budgets.

Diners can eat in The Garden Room restaurant with superb views of the countryside – this is the ideal venue for a special occasion, party or celebration meal. Those seeking more informal surroundings may dine in the bar or the Snug and in the summer, enjoy al fresco dining on our terrace. All areas have level access so are ideal for those with limited mobility or wheelchair users.

Families are welcome at the Benefield Wheatsheaf – we have a special Children’s Menu and high chairs available if required.

2011 Dining Events…

Lunch – 2 dine for £12!
Lunchtime dining is a great opportunity to catch up with friends or as a family treat at the weekend or during the holidays.  Choose a main course  from our selected ‘Blackboard Specials’ menu from Monday – Saturday, 12 noon to 2.30 p.m.  If you fancy a lighter lunch, this offer also extends to the fabulous range of ciabatta rolls and antipasti on our Bar & Lounge menu.

Grill Nights…
Every Friday we have a Grill Night at The Benefield Wheatsheaf.  There’s a fabulous selection of top quality steaks, chicken, gammon or fish with sauces, salads, hand cut chips or dauphinoise potatoes to accompany.  Simple, superb food cooked just the way that you like it. 

Afternoon Tea…
We serve traditional afternoon tea from 2.30 p.m. every day.  Tea for two includes home made scones with strawberry jam & cream, a selection of sandwiches including smoked salmon and cream cheese & cucumber, cakes and a pot of tea for two for £12.50.  Or treat yourself to tea with a glass of champagne each for £16.00. 

Private Dining

We can arrange private dining for parties of 10 to 60 people, for which our chef will be delighted to arrange the menu of your choice.

Gourmet Dining – For a very special dining experience…
You may wish to celebrate a special occasion or host a corporate or VIP dinner and what better way to do this than with excellent food and fine wines in your own private dining room.  Menus can be themed, classical in style or allow our chef to surprise you – it’s up to you.
